Description & What Type of Knife: (Naming parts)

In the kitchen workplace area, there are many different varieties of knives. One of the different types of knives is called the Boning knife. Every knife, just like the Boning knife, has several parts, which are, the tip, the point, the back, the blade, the cutting edge, the bolster/shank, the heel, the rivets, the tang, and the handle. The Boning knife has a thin, angled 5- to 7- inch blade. There are two different types of blades such as being rigid or flexible.

What Knife Does: (Cuts)

The Boning knife, just as the other types of knives, has a specific task. The Boning knife is used to remove bones from meat, fish, and poultry and trim fat from meat. A Boning knife with a rigid blade is mainly used for lighter work. The Boning knife is most purposeful for these foods.

How to Properly Use the Knife: (Safely)

A Boning knife, like all other knives is a dangerous tool if not properly handled. A person when in use with a Boning knife must carefully use their knife. Whenever a knife is put to use, it should always be properly used. Once the knife is held correctly the knife will safely do their job. This will try and eliminate any tragic events.

How Many Different People around the World Use Knife:

Like mentioned before, there are many different types of knives present in the kitchen workplace. A Boning knife is used by many chefs, and butchers. When they are dealing with having to take out bones from specific foods such as meats, poultry, fish, etc… A Boning knife helps a chef cook their meats without any bones present.

Knife Sanitation/Knife Storage:

Knives, as known by many people, should always be properly sanitized and stored away after each and every use. After a knife comes into contact with poultry, for example, it musts be cleaned with hot water and soap to kill off any germs. In doing so, this will prevent any bacteria or contamination in the kitchen environment. Also, to prevent any accidents, place the Boning knife in a safe storage space. This will prevent any accidental mishaps.
